Hello CJUG members,
Red Hat is looking to hire a permanent Senior Java PreSales Engineer in
the Canberra region. Ideally the person will have undertaken Java
development and  will be familiar with a number of different
technologies, development methodologies and frameworks.

This will be a home-office based position in the Canberra district with
home office equipment, fax/phone, Broadband provided.
There will be travel involved with the position, presenting to
customers, peers, user groups and conferences. We are after someone who
is interested in Open Source and the whole open source development
model. JBoss and MetaMatrix are the two areas we are looking for a
champion for. A good understanding of Seam, Hibernate, BPEL, Portal,
Rules, ESB, Eclipse and JMS as well as current application development
techniques would be desirable.

We are not using an agency at this stage. We are keen to gauge interest
in the Java community locally and hence the reason for posting to this
email address.

We have nearly 120 people in Australia. I look after Federal and ACT
Government. We have a number of dedicated and salaried Open Source
developers in Australia. We have a SaMBa developer here in Canberra as
well as a Red Hat and a JBoss trainer. We have an office available for
meetings and internet access in Civic. Overall its a good team with some
dedicated, enthusiastic, self motivated, supportive team members.
